Stage Design (Full Year Course) Core Course – AAS21/AAS22 – 2.0 Credits
Pre-requisite: 11th Grade Student
Every year our school Drama Club produces two theatrical performances. Gain the skills of set design and production and set the scene for their performance! In this class you will learn to analyze plays and musicals, transform text into conceptual plans for a set, create technical drawings and models to support your ideas, and build the actual set for both the school musical and play. In addition to creating working sets you will also learn to view and write about theatrical performances with a critical eye and effectively share ideas and opinions with your peers. There will be written and project-based artistic assignments given in this class.
